We are so glad you are visiting Northwest Presbyterian Church Online. We hope you’ll visit us in person this Sunday. Here’s what to expect.
Location: Northwest Presbyterian is located at 4300 Northside Drive, Atlanta, GA.
Remember not to confuse Northside Drive with Northside Parkway.
Coming south on Interstate 75:
Take the West Paces Ferry exit, get in the left lane on exit ramp, turn left off exit and proceed on West Paces Ferry to 2nd traffic light (Northside Drive). Turn left on Northside Drive and proceed 2 miles. Northwest Presbyterian Church is on the left (past the Fire Station).
From downtown Atlanta on Interstate 75:
Proceed north to Mt. Paran Exit. Bear right on Mt. Paran Road; proceed to corner of Mt. Paran Road and Northside Drive (Country Store on left). Turn right and Northwest Presbyterian is 1/2 mile on right.
Parking: We have two parking lots: the north and south lots. For those who are disabled or have trouble walking, there are several designated parking spaces in the north lot closest to the Sanctuary. Click here for a campus map.
Worship Service: Our worship service is traditional, but not stuffy or formal. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the church family is welcoming. Dress comfortably! From late September through end of May Sunday School classes begin at 9:15am for all ages. View the current list of classes in the NWPC Weekly.
Worship begins at 10:30am in our Sanctuary. Our greeters and ushers are available to answer questions and help you feel comfortable. Our pastor, Rev. Tim Boggess, generally leads us in worship, and our choir leads us in song. The service usually lasts about one hour. Bibles and hymnals are provided in each pew. Our worship bulletin, handed out by the ushers as you enter the sanctuary, makes it easy to follow the worship service. Hearing aids are available—an usher can provide one for you.
Children: Northwest Presbyterian provides a safe, caring environment, where adult members know the children by name, care for them, and look out for one another’s families. Child care (newborn to age 3) is provided by our professional care-givers in our bright and attractive nursery. Children age 4 through 1st grade join us in Worship for 15-20 minutes. Following "Time with Young Disciples," children in this age group are escorted by specially appointed adult “shepherds” to the Children's Worship Center located in the Family Life Center. There, they participate in Young Children and Worship, preparing them for full participation in “grown-up” worship in the years ahead. For older children, we offer activities in the Children's Worship Nook.
Visitor Welcome Bag: Either before or after the worship service, be sure to stop by the round table in the narthex (the gathering area of the church) and pick up a visitor bag. It contains information about Northwest Presbyterian Church and a gift from us to you.
Feel the Warmth: Here’s a fun fact. We have four fireplaces at Northwest Presbyterian: in the narthex, the upper room above the narthex, the Youth Lodge, and the Adams Room. Perfect for warming body and soul!
