New Members’ Class
If you are interested in becoming a member of Northwest Presbyterian, you are invited to spend a few minutes after worship in conversation with one of our Elders or our pastors Reverend Tim Boggess or Reverend Laura Jernigan.
Each quarter we set aside a special time to welcome new members into the Northwest Presbyterian faith family. Becoming a member involves two steps:
1. Attending a Sunday morning “Exploring Northwest” class
2. Taking part in “Membership Sunday”
“Exploring Northwest” is for those adults who wish to explore faith in Jesus Christ and learn more about Northwest Presbyterian Church. Presented four times a year in the Family Life Center, this interactive, informative class is designed to help visitors and inquirers get to know people at Northwest Presbyterian, learn about our programs, and discover ways to worship, study, serve, and grow with us. Child care is available upon request.
“Membership Sunday” takes place two weeks after the “Exploring” class. We gather for breakfast at 9:00am in Thorington Hall and then attend a brief Session meeting to officially receive new members into the church. New members may join by Profession of Faith, Reaffirmation of Faith, or Letter of Transfer.
Contact Reverend Tim Boggess at firstname.lastname@example.org about your interest.
